Time to Take That Inventory!

Have a smart phone?  (Who doesn't!!)  This is a great time to put it to good use.  All cell phones have a camera--even a video camera.  If you haven't taken pictures of every room in your home--or made a video going from room to room, describing all the possessions you have--there's no better time to take a home inventory than right now!

This allows you to have a visual recording of what you own. . .especially if a room, or portion of your home, has recently been renovated.  And take pictures of everything:  bedrooms, closets, bathrooms, kitchen, living room, utility room, dining room, garage; get a complete record of your possessions.  And e-mail the pictures to yourself or a loved one, or upload the video online; you don't want your records lost should your cell phone become lost or damaged!

The fact of the matter is, should you lose everything to a fire or wedge tornado, it's a lot easier for an adjuster to have actual video evidence of what you've lost as opposed to you trying to explain to him or her via memory.  It will streamline the claim process!  So take a few minutes to do a video walk-through of your home.  It will be time well spent!
