Time to Slow Down!

Believe it or not, another school year is upon us!  If you got into the habit, over the summer, of failing to slow down when entering a school zone, it's time to lose that bad habit.  While school is in session, the speed limit for the duration of the school zones is either 20 or 25 mph; please slow down, and stay within the limits.  Not only will you contribute to the overall safety of students, parents, teachers, and school crossing personnel in the area--you'll save yourself the inconvenience of an expensive speeding ticket!

And pay attention to school buses. . .especially when they're flashing their lights.  When they start flashing yellow, the bus is going to come to a stop; slow down!  And when the lights are flashing red, you must come to a complete stop.  NEVER attempt to drive around a stopped school bus with flashing red lights; there is no jury in all of creation that will have any sympathy for you, should your recklessness result in an accident causing injury.

School is in session.  Let's be safe out there!
