Thought you've heard of some strange insurance claims?  Then check out the following bizarre list; these are claims that were actually filed.  Insurance is supposed to protect us from the unexpected--even if the unexpected falls into the realm of wacky!  Source:  www.insuranceagents.com

*A man lost his dentures while throwing up over the side of a cruise ship and filed a claim for his loss.  Fortunately for him, the travel insurance company defined the dentures as lost baggage, and paid his claim.

*A couple vacationing in Asia got to their room to find it in shambles and several articles of clothing missing.  Turned out some monkeys came in through an open window and did all the damage.  While some pieces of clothing were found scattered through the rain forest, most of the clothing remained lost.  The travel insurance carrier honored their claim.

*A man filed a claim for damage to his car when he came out of a nursery and saw a camel kicking and damaging his vehicle.  While he was on the phone with his insurance company a TV crew that happened to be in the area got footage of the attack.  Since there was abundant video evidence, the claim was paid!

*A British tourist filed a health insurance claim after he walked into a bus shelter and broke his nose.  The cause?  He was distracted by a group of women in bikinis.  The insurance company paid the claim!

*A women arrived at a port early to meet her husband, who was returning home after deployment overseas.  In her excitement she parked her car a bit too close to the boat slip.  As the submarine pulled into port, an inexperienced ensign misjudged the distance and crashed into the boat slip, sending the car into the water!  The Navy paid the claim right away.

So the next time you think you have a strange insurance claim to file, rest assured of one thing:  Even stranger things have happened!
