Jewelry remains our most valued--and valuable--possessions. It would be devastating if a wedding ring, diamond necklace, or expensive ear rings became lost or stolen. Equally devastating would be getting a check from your homeowners insurance company for only a fraction of what that $10,000 wedding ring is worth. All unendorsed homeowners policies have very minimal limits for jewelry that's lost or stolen (which, of course, are jewelry's two biggest exposures!). $1,000. . .$2,000. . .perhaps $2,500. That needs to be remedied!
Endorse your homeowners policy! For a nominal increase in premium you can schedule and protect your valuable jewelry. And the vast majority of homeowners policies insure your possessions anywhere in the United States; most of them provide coverage anywhere in the world! So if you lose your wedding ring on vacation in Hawaii, you have peace of mind that you'll receive the necessary funds to replace it.
But we're not just talking about jewelry! You can endorse your homeowners policy to protect all your valuable possessions. Guns. Art. Furs. Antiques. Coin collections. So if you have valuable possessions, and your homeowners policy is not endorsed to cover them to value, call your agent today! And we hope that's us!
