It's hard to believe, but another school year is upon us! If you got into the habit, over the summer, of failing to slow down when entering a school zone, it's time to lose that bad habit. While school is in session, the speed limit for the duration of the school zones is 20 mph; please slow down, and stay within the limit. Not only will you contribute to the overall safety of students, parents, teachers, and cross guards in the area--you'll save yourself the inconvenience of an expensive speeding ticket!
And be sure to heed the lights of school buses. When they start flashing yellow, the bus is going to come to a stop; slow down! And when the lights are flashing red, you must come to a complete stop. NEVER attempt to drive around a stopped school bus with flashing red lights; there is no jury in creation that will have any sympathy for you, should this recklessness result in an accident causing injury.
School is in session. Let's be safe out there!
